Sheva Leaves Emirates With Milan

The Ukrainian was in the stands watching the Rossoneri draw 0-0 with Arsenal in their Champions League last 16 first leg tie. After the game Shevchenko went to see the Milan squad before leaving the stadium with them on the team bus. The 31-year-old spent seven glorious years with the European Champions before signing for Chelsea in 2006 for a whopping £30m. However Sheva has struggled badly in the Premiership, so far scoring just eight goals in 41 league appearances. He has fallen down the forward pecking order since Chelsea snapped up French star Nicolas Anelka last month. Shevchenko has never hidden his desire to return back to his old club, and his presence on Milan’s team bus last night is sure to fuel speculation of a possible move back there in the summer.
